Client: SK Life Science

Despite the fact that more than a dozen antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) have come to market over the last 20 years, the overall rate of seizure freedom has remain unchanged since the 1980s.

Our client, SK Life Science, developed a new, revolutionary AED to help epilepsy patients reach seizure control. From conception to completion our team worked to create a physician-facing awareness campaign to address uncontrolled epilepsy.

Taunting physicians as the personification of epilepsy, C. Zure is a serial kidnapper who takes pride in holding millions of patients hostage. To express the gravity of the realities of epilepsy, we chose to have C. Zure communicate his message through ransom notes with hand-cut lettering, polaroid portraits of captives, and hostage videos filmed in his lair.

Enter C.Zure’s Lair - American Academy of Neurology Booth Design

For the American Academy of Neurology Convention, I designed an immersive booth that brought our C.Zure campaign to life in a bold, unexpected way. The space was centered around C.Zure’s lair, featuring a one-person escape room where participants—mainly physicians—had to "save their patients" by solving clues about the failure of current AEDs. Sales team members, dressed as EBI (Epilepsy Bureau of Investigations) detectives, engaged visitors, while two interactive screens displayed C.Zure’s ransom notes. A striking wall of “missing patient” posters reinforced the campaign’s urgency, making the booth both engaging and unforgettable.
